We are ALWAYS looking for ways that parents and families can help. Assisting the paid staff is a volunteer board, as well as committees for fundraising, sponsorships and tournaments. Managers on each team and individual team help is always appreciated.

HOW WILL THE ALLIANCE BETWEEN MILWAUKEE KICKERS AND SC WAVE WORK?

The alliance between the Milwaukee Kickers and SC Wave, announced in March 2023, will begin with the 2023 -2024 soccer season.

The alliance is designed to provide a pathway for elite players, if they so choose, and qualify, to compete at a higher national level, in MLS Next Level, Girls Academy (GA) Level, E64 Level and MWC Club v Club. The primary focus of the alliance is to build the strongest teams starting at U13. Training, travel and cost details for those programs are available on the SC Wave website.

There will be very little change or disruption to the majority of AC Toros and MKSC players that participate in a Regional program like ours. Competitive and recreational play in AC Toros will continue to grow and thrive with our Select, Youth Academy and Recreational programs. The high-level, quality coaching, location of training and games, and fee structure will remain relatively untouched.

Our priority is to ensure that our players have the access and opportunity to find a level of play where they can excel whether it be at the recreational, competitive or even the elite programs offered in the newly formed alliance.

I HAVE TWO KIDS, ONE WHO IS 9 AND THE OTHER GOING INTO HIGH SCHOOL. HOW ARE THE COSTS BROKEN DOWN?

Costs are different for U6-10 (full year), U11-14 (full year) and high school ages (half year). Youth Academy soccer is for families who want more than a recreational experience with qualified paid and licensed staff oversight. Qualified, paid coaches work with the teams with additional help from parents. Select teams are training under a curriculum and methodology plan created specifically for youth players while focusing on running training with more intensity and expectations. Specific cost breakdown, please see our Club Fees page.

5

WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT IN THE FALL SEASON 2023?

We enter our third year of competition and continue to add more coaching staff to supplement the growing numbers of teams. Having multiple teams at each age group is the goal so that we can provide the best experience for the child as they grow with the game.

 IS THERE A VOLUNTEER FEE?

There is a volunteer fee that families may opt out of participation. This fee will be collected at the time of registration and if you complete the number of hours required, the monies will be refunded.
