WHAT LEAGUE DO AC TOROS PLAY?
AC Toros is a select and recreational program that is a regional member of the Milwaukee Kickers, WYSA (Wis. Youth Soccer Association), and USYS (US Youth Soccer). AC Toros team also compete at various levels in the Midwest Regional League (MRLQ). While locations for home games vary by age, most U12 and under teams play at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex. U13 and up play at St. Augustine Preparatory Academy on Milwaukee's south side.
HOW CAN I HELP THE CLUB AND GET INVOLVED?
We are ALWAYS looking for ways that parents and families can help. Assisting the paid staff is a volunteer board, as well as committees for fundraising, sponsorships and tournaments. Managers on each team and individual team help is always appreciated.
HOW WILL THE ALLIANCE BETWEEN MILWAUKEE KICKERS AND SC WAVE WORK?
The alliance between the Milwaukee Kickers and SC Wave, announced in March 2023, will begin with the 2023 -2024 soccer season.
The alliance is designed to provide a pathway for elite players, if they so choose, and qualify, to compete at a higher national level, in MLS Next Level, Girls Academy (GA) Level, E64 Level and MWC Club v Club. The primary focus of the alliance is to build the strongest teams starting at U13. Training, travel and cost details for those programs are available on the SC Wave website.
There will be very little change or disruption to the majority of AC Toros and MKSC players that participate in a Regional program like ours. Competitive and recreational play in AC Toros will continue to grow and thrive with our Select, Youth Academy and Recreational programs. The high-level, quality coaching, location of training and games, and fee structure will remain relatively untouched.
Our priority is to ensure that our players have the access and opportunity to find a level of play where they can excel whether it be at the recreational, competitive or even the elite programs offered in the newly formed alliance.

I HAVE TWO KIDS, ONE WHO IS 9 AND THE OTHER GOING INTO HIGH SCHOOL. HOW ARE THE COSTS BROKEN DOWN?
Costs are different for U6-10 (full year), U11-14 (full year) and high school ages (half year). Youth Academy soccer is for families who want more than a recreational experience with qualified paid and licensed staff oversight. Qualified, paid coaches work with the teams with additional help from parents. Select teams are training under a curriculum and methodology plan created specifically for youth players while focusing on running training with more intensity and expectations. Specific cost breakdown, please see our Club Fees page.
WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT IN THE FALL SEASON 2023?
We enter our third year of competition and continue to add more coaching staff to supplement the growing numbers of teams. Having multiple teams at each age group is the goal so that we can provide the best experience for the child as they grow with the game.
IS THERE A VOLUNTEER FEE?
There is a volunteer fee that families may opt out of participation. This fee will be collected at the time of registration and if you complete the number of hours required, the monies will be refunded.
HOW ARE TEAMS TO BE FORMED?
Contact us for information on joining a team at firstname.lastname@example.org to get that news. We continue with plans to offer teams for both girls and boys from U6 up through U19. The goal is to have multiple teams at all age levels. Youth Academy teams will be formed based on the numbers of children who join and space we have allocated with staff. Select teams will be formed based on skill level and numbers.
DOES AC TOROS PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING?
AC Toros currently offers supplemental training in winter with futsal specific skill training and open play for extra touches in a strictly "street soccer scrimmage" format. Plans to roll out AC Toros supplemental training in the fall and spring will begin with the U11/12 age group for boys and girls.
WHAT WILL THE PROGRAM LEADERSHIP LOOK LIKE?
AC Toros will be under the direction of the AC Toros MKSC Regional Director, Jim Berner. Berner, who has worked as a volunteer at many levels with MKSC also owns and manages small businesses in the Fox Valley area. There is also a volunteer board comprised of coaches and parents to assist in making overall decisions for the program. AC Toros has two full-time coaching directors, Eric Natwick for Select and Buddy Gentry for Recreational Programs. They work alongside David Nikolic, AC Toros Director of Sport and Player Development, to implement Nikolic's methodology for developing youth soccer players.
